I've talked to a LOT of veterans and some aren't bothered by fireworks while others are... And I'm talking about combat vets who've been in the SHIT...

I just can't take all the noise..

Respect. I can't imagine.

I am so grateful to you and all our vets! Only wish you a chance to celebrate our country that works for each of you.



Our kids didn't like the noise either... But for a very different reason vs vets.

Plus my wife hates crowds.

Went to see @Hog in my LJ and got a white knuckle ride in his V8 Golden Eagle.

Came home to put on clean underwear.

One of my most memorable 4ths was camping on a mountainside with my then teenage daughter and her friend. We were above Hyattville, Wyoming looking West out into the Big Horn Basin.
We could see the fireworks displays from pretty much every town in the basin, but didnt hear a thing.
It was unbelievable!
We were above them, too, so that was cool.
