Bent Door Hinges

As I was pushing my jeep from the garage the door got stuck on a shelf and bent the hinges. Of course it is the door that the limiting strap is broken on. I have a had this strap in a box for two years. Oh well can’t go back now.
Does anyone know where I could get PSB color code hinges? Or am I better off ordering some and bringing them to maaco for a paint job.

Only oe style hinges in your paint code will be the used oem. Most if not all aftermarket ones are thinner and use the domed fasteners as opposed to the countersunk.

Without seeing how bad they’re bent, before I bought used replacements id try to bend them back. Maybe apply some heat if needed. Once you think you’re good, replace the hinge bushings and check for fit before you scuff and paint.

You can buy the matched paint codes in rattle cans and a good quality clear coat.

I've tried ebay in the past but it's kindof a crapshoot whether they're straight or not. Seems like you're not alone.

Go here ( https://www.car-part.com/ ) and search for the part you are looking for. There will likely be a salvage yard within driving distance where you can do pick a part.

What hinges do you need, specifically? Upper, lower, body side, door side, both? Are you sure the actual door shell isn't tweaked and that it is the hinges?

Specifically, don't do this. You'd be better off having your dog refinish them. If you don't have a dog, it only reinforces my point.

I’m getting both sides. Because I took the other door off too because I’m not driving around with one door. And that hinge was all rusted. I need upper lower left and right

I asked because I have a full set of tub side leaves. If you need a full set, buying piecemeal off eBay is probably your best bet, unless you can source a full set from a wrecker.

I used heat and an impact after trying a more gentle approach to no avail. Worked flawlessly. Turns out, an impact is the recommended/safest method for removing those hinge bolts, windshield frame bolts, etc., and I'd have never guessed that.

One stripped on the door. And I have not gotten uppers off the tub since there is some door lock thing to prevent door theft which is stupid. Once I get those off I know it will take paint off too.

I'm pretty sure I used a 1/2" impact, because I believe the only impact torx sockets I have are 1/2". Either way, my 1/2" and 3/8" Milwaukee impacts have the same or nearly the same torque rating, which is overkill for this application, and it worked fine.

Air all day. Milwaukee makes good stuff but I just have a Bosch kit. Got it 6 years ago factory reconditioned and I love it.
