Food for thought Mark... Food for thought!!!Got an email back from the gal who owns the little Rambler wagon. She confirmed that it's my old car, and has offered to give it to me if'n I want it. I just got back from talking with the neighbors, and they'll rent me a parking spot right next door for $50 a month (I named the price, so I'm fine with that). Waiting to schedule a time to go take a look at the Rambler this weekend, preferably on a day when the wife is out with her friends.

Isn't that the equivalent of JK/JKU off-roading?

Taking the F250 out to the nephew's place on Saturday so he can test drive it and make a decision one way or the other. I sent him pics a few days ago, and I think the hook has been set, as he told me he's already looking for some aftermarket wheels (like Alcoas, or similar styled) for it. Woo-hoo!

Got an email back from the gal who owns the little Rambler wagon. She confirmed that it's my old car, and has offered to give it to me if'n I want it. I just got back from talking with the neighbors, and they'll rent me a parking spot right next door for $50 a month (I named the price, so I'm fine with that). Waiting to schedule a time to go take a look at the Rambler this weekend, preferably on a day when the wife is out with her friends.

Well, looks like I'll be bringing her home as soon as I can manage it. The "seller" refused to take any money for the car, which for the first time in my life, I was absolutely fine with. Her "log cabin" is probably six times bigger than my house, using some logs that are around 3' in diameter (seriously!), and sitting on acreage. I'm just of the opinion that she's not exactly struggling financially, so I graciously accepted her generous offer. She's already removed the ads from Craigslist and FB Marketplace. Oh, and she let me know that a guy in New York reached out to her this morning saying that he'd pay her asking price for the car, and send a transport out to pick it up asap. When she told him she was giving the car back to one of the original owners, he responded with "What a great story, but still...DAMN IT!"

If that F-250 leaves, you'll have a place to put it - BUT - do you think the spousal unit will notice the difference?
It's actually going right into the slot where the Ford is now. A bit of "counting my chickens before they hatch" going on here, but I had to commit to the Rambler. How often do you get a shot at something like this? That's a wonderful piece of my past coming back into my life. It's like the total opposit of an ex-wife showing up at your doorstep. Know what I mean, Vern?
