Need help selling Jeep in SoCal

I'm posting this to the JK forum as well. But as a long time member/poster of this forum. I feel I know more people here. And more people know that I am a decent guy here from my posts. And the greater active participation here. I chose to post here as well.

I'm trying to sell my 2012 Jeep JKU. But I'm living in the Phillipines at the moment. The Jeep has been garaged at my house in El Segundo. It's in excellent condition. 95k miles. And I had a 2017, 30k mile engine put in it last year. As well as new cats and all the other standard engine replacement items.

Because I'm not there. And my son who lives there doesn't have the time. I need someone to help me get it sold. I would gladly pay someone to show it for me. And handle the sale. My son has signed title in hand.

It basically just needs to be started and confirmed it's still running fine as I left it. And shown to any perspective buyer. I would place all the ads. And coordinate as much as I could from here.

I have clean carfaxes for the Jeep and for the engine. As well pics and receipts of the Jeep the engine came out of. With verified mileage and the Carfax report for the Jeep it came out of. Both the original Jeep and replacement engine were well maintained and cared for.

It's black, stock, with Gladiator rims and Falkan tires. And expensive high end roof rack. (I don't recall the brand off the top of my head. But it was 3k new iirc.) A high end android 10 inch stereo unit. And a second new android higher end 10 inch touchscreen that comes with it.

I'd like to get somewhere around 20k for it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. It was owned by a rich tech guy in Santa Barbara. And was dealer cared for. He missed the recalls and repairs in the 2012 rocker arms and possible head issue. I went ahead and replaced the motor rather than deal with those repairs.

The motor was purchased from a very reputable Jeep dismantler in the Midwest. Baseline 4x4 Recyclers in Indiana. I have the receipt for it and the install. I put maybe 2k on the new engine before storing it. So I know it runs very well. And by 2017 they had ironed out all the rocker arm and head issues.

Any help greatly appreciated. My son can coordinate access as he lives there.

I would prefer someone known to the forum. Or someone that comes with good recommendations.

Nice looking rig you have. Is $20K for a 12 JKU high regardless of how much you've invested, BB value, comparo's on FB or CL??. I have never recoup'ed dollars spent on repairs if that's what your hoping for. I'm not saying you wont find somebody to help, but have you considered a consignment at a local dealer or whatever. They can always suck more money out of a potential buyer because they offer financing. Being your son is in the area he can surely he can help a little cant he?

My son's just busy. He's a writer. And isn't a car guy. Or I would ask him to help.

I'm negotiable on the price. And granted socal Jeep prices are not comparable to anywhere else. Vehicles in general just go for alot more here. It's a dry climate and prices in everything are just higher. Especially Jeeps that aren't trashed. Which is why I bought it in the first place. The owner was really honest about the engine problems. That weren't even apparent if you drove it. But those bad rocker arms in 2011 and 2012 ended up ruining the camshaft. And there were also head issues in those years. But it was in perfect condition. And the price was very reasonable because he was being so up front about the possible issues. He was basically just busy and unaware of the issues. So never followed up with the dealer. It was basically a rich guys daily driver Jeep to look cool. And I knew if I swapped engines I'd have a very well kept, long term vehicle. The Carfax is clean and the vehicle itself is in excellent condition.

But price is not as big a sticking point to me. I just need to get it moved. It's a house I shared with my ex wife. We are completely amicable. And she has been nice enough to let me store the Jeep and some of my other stuff for a couple years. But I need to get the Jeep out of there. And move the rest of my belongings to Seattle. I'd just like to get the Jeep moved first. I'm in the Phillipines. And I'd like to have this taken care of before I come back and move everything to Seattle. Staying in LA for any length of time is very expensive.

I wasn't asking actually. I was asking for help facilitating the sale. But thank you for your opinion.
