Then not surprising it has South Dakota plates. The snowbirds are moving in already - I saw a new BMW X6 with SD plates on my way home from work today.

It's so over regulated most weed store's have closed. Only in California.
IIRC, it's almost a CJ clone since they had the India Jeep manufacturing contract. Looks like a CJ grille isn't a direct swap, but there are some similiar ones available aftermarket.
Pretty sure they're only licensed as ATVs, so there's limitation on where you can run them on the street.

I read quite a bit about them yesterday. If what I read is accurate, the grille was essentially just like the early Jeeps. FCA sued them and won so they had to change several aesthetic things. One of those was the grille.
The cost is absurd. I looked into them once but realizing that they can easily get upwards of 30k was quite the turn off.
Still both better and cheaper than the junk from Stelantis!
I talked with a feller here a week or two ago who was driving a newish Jeep pickup. Not sure of the model or the year but it was sporting a little diesel AND A MANUAL TRANS!!!!

Still kinda wonder if it was a Stellantis product, but in the end it really doesnt matter....
They make those EcoDiesel Wranglers (or they did for a while) but that's a crappy diesel engine from what I hear. Then again, it's a Stellantis product so of course it is!
Yeah they seem to be hit or miss. I have a buddy that does diesel tuning for farm equipment and semi trucks, he's always run ecodiesels for personal vehicles and haven't had issues, but they do have to be deleted (like everything unfortunately).
Then again, I have another buddy that has a ton of problems with his that he's working through.
It's a european diesel, i think from an italian company IIRC. I think a big issue with that is EU diesel tends to be cleaner than NA diesel, so EU diesels can struggle with our fuel with it not being clean enough.
Those mahindra Roxors are neat. Not worth the price IMO though. Mahinda sells a wrangler copycat in India called the Thar
