So I have started down this rabbit hole of owning a 20 year jeep and loving every minute of it. I am now going to replace all of the front end components from ball joints to tie rods and everything in between but there are so many options out there. I am not looking to do any serious off roading and will not be driving this thing in the snow. I see hundreds of different options for all of the components but really need some recommendations on what brands to look at or ones to stay away from. Any advice is welcome, thanks!

Stay away from Synergy and Alloy USA, go with Spicer for pretty much all front end parts. Timken unit bearing hubs are a good choice.
Dana-Spicer is the OEM manufacturer of the drivetrain parts the factory used to build our Jeeps with.
Just went through this, this is what I ordered (have not yet installed):
Steering (w/ZJ upgrade):
(2) Moog ES2079S
(2) Moog ES3096L
(1) Moog DS1312
(1) Moog DS1430
Front Hub Units (be careful with these as the offset changed in 1999 I think, these are the later ones for full cast rotors):
(2) Timken HA597449
Front Axle U-Joints:
(2) Spicer 5760X
Ball Joints:
(2) Spicer 706944X
Rockauto seemed to be the cheapest

I ordered some Synergy anti-sway bar bushings and just tossed them. One look at Synergy and you know they are not very good quality.
Many moons ago, my first real repair was a rear pinion seal. Thank you Jerry for that help. But I purchased spicer parts from these guys. Good website and prices are fair.

I did this Moog ZJ tie rod upgrade to my '01 TJ in early June (except for the drag link DS1430 as this is same as stock). I also installed a bomber MetalCloak track bar and the MetalCloak (Rocksport) steering stabilizer/dampener. I'm very happy with the upgrade. It firmed up the squirrelly tired stock steering noticeably and has all but eliminated any noticeable bump steer (I'm on 31s). Pretty affordable and relatively easy upgrade - good bang for the buck I think.
