5+ years ago I had a pair of golden retrievers in the back of my Jeep. Ever since then the hair is all over the back carpet.

I've vacuumed, carpet cleaned, went after it with a gentle pressure washer, and it's still there. Anyone figure out how to remove it without having to go after each strand?

I read somewhere you can use a pumice stone. I haven’t actually tried it tho

A lint roller always works for our cats hair that gets stuck in the furniture.

I've also had luck with our very high powered shop vac. It takes a bit of massaging, but it works. Of course yours sounds way worse than anything I've ever heard of.

I suppose another trick would be to get one of those dog brushes (the very fine tooth ones you use on animals) and brush the carpets. I'd bet that would work.

Lint brush works. Also, hit up your local carwash. Their vacuums are more powerful than the typical shop vac. rub the carpet vigorously with the hose and it will work the hair out. Time Consuming, but it does work. My dog's hair is short and bristle-y and gets stuck in the weave of the carpet and that is the only fool-proof method to get it all out.

I have two labs (at one point three) so I understand your pain. I use a shop vac crevice tool and scrape the carpet in several different directions. After I get out as much hair as possible, I go over the interior with one of those sticker roller brushes.

I've tried just about every method out there (including the pumice stone) and it's the best combination that I've found.

I was trying to figure this out for the house.... on our area rugs. After some research I found a few that swore by using a squeegee.....

So I bought a cheapo hand held and gave it a try. After it pulled out what appeared to be something about the size of a small wombat from a small area rug, I went and bought a nice one with a long handle. OMG these things work great. I guess it's the tacky rubber that basically pulls it out instead of relying on suction or tackiness of tape that quickly wears out.

Squeegee worked amazingly well for me on the area rugs.... it should work just as good on Jeep carpet.

Lint roller is the only thing I've ever found to be really effective. You can get *some* hair out with vacuuming, washing, etc. However, in most cases, a lint roller or tape is the only thing that will pull out the hairs that get dug down deep in carpet or cloth.

I recently inherited my late mom's car and before I passed it on to someone else in the family, I gave it a good cleaning. My mom had a service dog that went with her everywhere, so there was a ton of dog hair all over and out of everything I tried, the lint roller was the only thing that finished the job (even though it was a pain in the ass).

I spent a whole day removing dog hair from my cheap Saturday, 8am till 7pm, there must have been about 10 years worth of dog hair in it, kindly left by the last owner, any hows, I found the best way was to use duck tape round my hand and then vacum with a strong hoover to remove what was left, I then refitted the carpets and finished with fabreeze

Your all looking at this the wrong way....!!!

Solution :D

I've had good luck with a 3M scuff pad. Just wipe it down good going in one direction and it should come off. Grooms the nap in the carpet too. Good luck.
