G2 complete Axles setups

Anyone running one of these Core 44 axles? Long story short I had an accident and bent my axle tube. Stock Dana 44 housing with locker is over $10,000.. lol

This installed is $7400 and has a ARB. Also get RCV's and get to keep the G2 axle shafts. So the insurance is on board with the G2 setup.

Seems like a no brainer but have had 2 people tell me G2's bearings are crap. Called G2 and they said they were all Timkin.

So anyone had any first hand experience with G2?

I'd find out if the bearings have a warranty. If they do, run that bugger. If the bearings go, they'll have to fix it.

It comes with a warranty from G2 and 4Wheel parts offers a extended warranty for 10% of cost which is $750. Not so sure it is worth it.

Was told everything was Timkin so doesn't worry me that much. I do know the thing is as beefy as any 60 I have ever seen

I just did a lot of research on built axles and talked to a lot of fellow wheelers and local shops. Most all steered me away from G2. East Coast Gear supply seemed to be the most positively talked about at a “reasonable” price point. I bit the bullet and hope to have them here in a month or so.

I have zero experience with them, G2 came along after I quit working for Transamerica who is the parent company to 4Wheel Parts. I did not work for 4Wheep Parts, I was just in their shops a lot giving them new trucks & Jeeps from dealerships to build up. That said, G2 is simply a house brand for 4Wheel Parts.
