I
It's not rubbish man. Lol I've seen it first hand. I have experience with old cars and not changing trannys fluid often. I learned from a 1500.00 rebuild bill. In my second /3rd old van Ive neglected changing trannys fluid but than only changed like 25% at a time. The van I got now is 15 years old. And I'm telling you your gonna be sorry lol. Jerry's got nothing to lose if you do this than your transmission takes a sh! $. But than again I guess it depends how old your jeep is, how many miles etc... but if it dives on you man, you've been warned.
The internet is full of rubbish and I have read a lot of misleading information on the net, so if I am on the fence about a topic and a knowledgable person chimes in, I'll lean on the side such knowledgable person stands on, in this case Jerry.
From my limited experience, the tranny fluid in my 2005 LJ was changed for the first time in 2015, full change, and no issues on my side. My 2006 Audi A4 had its tranny fluid changed for the first time in 2016, full change, all good.
So unless you can disprove Jerry I am on that side. I did Google this topic and only found shady sites talking about this. I do not always side with Jerry either, but on this I am.
