I know I asked before about seat covers but we're getting ready to order some. Anyone have Neoprene covers? Iv read somewhere that they make you sweat (bad) but the description says they keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. Needing input before we spend hundreds on them ;).
 
Believe me when I say that neoprene is a horrible choice for seat covers. It doesn't breathe well at all (therefore you'll sweat like no other), it fades big time with sun exposure, and it's just all around bad.

If you do your research you'll come to find that the best seat cover out there for the Wrangler TJ (it's very, very highly regarded) is the IGGEE seat cover. For $300 you can get a complete set (any color you want), they are synthetic vinyl, and they fit so good you'll think they are brand new seats (no joke).

They have them in every color you want, just specify the color when you order it.

Also, for what it's worth eBay has the best prices on them. I searched high and low before I bought mine for the best price, and eBay had it.

How are they in hot humid temperatures? Do they make you have swamp butt o_O. My husband thinks I'm crazy but I really hate sweating then going in somewhere looking like I wet my pants haha.

Neoprene is about the worst possible choice of seat cover material. Neoprene is not (!) waterproof and it not only soaks up water or other liquids that aren't wiped off its surface quickly, it also soaks up perspiration so eventually, it'll start smelling like a wet dog. And yes, it will leave you with swamp butt on hot humid days.

Not to mention the cool colors that are available are only on the very thin top nylon cover and they quickly fade unevenly and turn weird shades when the seat covers see much sun. Black turns purple, red turns pink, etc.

Neoprene would be the last seat cover material I'd choose. Not to mention that Wet Okole literally means wet ass in Hawaiian. As in once it gets wet, you have to sit on a towel because it's going to take a couple days to dry out. Especially from one who wore 12-15 high quality neoprene wetsuits for many years as a diver. It'd take each wetsuit a couple days to dry out after use.

Thanks for your input! Do you recommend any good seat covers as well? Like to get all options that's out there (we're new to the jeep thing). Is there even a such thing that will keep you from getting swamp butt lol
 
Neoprene really is the worst of the worst. I have no idea who started the whole neoprene seat cover idea, but they need to be shot for such a bad idea.

The IGGEE seat covers are synthetic leather, so they will do exceptional in humid places. Sweat will just wipe away!

I have personally seen the Bartact seat covers. They are probably the ones I would choose if I had the 6 bills for the set.

I have neoprene ones (CoverKing brand). Talk about sweat, maximum swap ass production. They are starting to fade and are loose fitting. They came with the Jeep, but I plan on getting new ones as soon as I can. I definitely would not reccomend neoprene to anyone, whatsoever.

For the money, I love the bestop brand I got for my TJ! They were exceptionally well made, fit like a glove, cover everything, a breeze to install, and are the material they use for their tops, so very water resistant! I have two big, dirty, slobbery boxers so I wanted something that would really protect and be easy to wipe down. They fit the bill perfectly! They can get a little hot for the dogs, hence the lambs wool, but it has never been a problem for me.

They don't look like they fit very well. They appear loose and wrinkled. Is it just me?
 
I seriously want to find and slap the person who thought Neoprene would be a good idea for seat covers. Seriously... How insanely stupid.

Nope. I've had them for about 8 months... Snapped the pics for the topic. I think people are just used to the look of neoprene. These don't fit like that (no stretch) but are made to fit your make and model exactly, and they do... They suit me fine! And they look great IMO [emoji51]
 
What's confusing then is I ran sets of those same seat covers on both of my TJs and the wrinkles that were present right after installation completely disappeared within a few warm days.
