So my 05 rme auto has a Dana 44 rear and Dana 30 front with 3.73 gears, I wanna go to 4 56 gears can I do this without changing the carrier?

Front yes, rear no. Unless you can find a gear maker that offers a thick gear set. Check with Revolution Gear or Yukon.

What's an RME? The Dana 44 splits at 3.92 so you'd either need a different carrier or more easily, just go with the thick-cut version of the gears which allows that ratio to be used on a carrier made for higher ratios like your present 3.73.

OMG your Jeep would be dying on the highway with 4.56 gears, seriously. Your 42RLE has a .69 Overdrive ratio that will lower the rpms so much your engine would be lugging on the highway with 33" tires. You seriously want nothing less than 4.88 for adequate highway rpms, personally I'd go with 5.13. I just installed 5.38 gears for my 35" tires last year for my 42RLE automatic transmission and 5.38 is barely enough to keep the rpms up where they need to be. My engine was lugging badly and I never even reached 12 mpg with 35's with its 4.88 gearing. My engine and transmission immediately started running better and my mpg shot up to 14.38 after the 5.38 gearing was installed.
It's common knowledge among experienced owners with the 42RLE transmission as you have that you absolutely must regear at least two gear ratios lower than you would with the 5 or 6-speed transmissions. NO, your highway rpms would not be even close to being too high with 4.88 or 5.13, they'd be perfect for 65-70 mph.

Find a reputable shop, tell them you want 5.13's, and let them do the work. And don't let them talk you out of 5.13 and into something inadequate like 4.56.
Lol I've seen that alot, I do manufacturing for a living and have no reason that I can't do this in not some hillyback yard mudder no offense, I would like to know what I have to change, not the whole process of doing it, that's what the internet is for and I've watched acouple videos so I'm prepared.
Gears, bearings, seals, possibly carriers. Press, bearing pullers, dial indicator, dial calipers, inch pound torque wrench, various tools. No disrespect but, watching a couple videos does not prepare you for gear swaps. I was trained by Randy (Randys ring and pinion) and it took several differentials before I was comfortable enough to do one on my own.
What I want to know is am I gonna have to change my carrier or not I don't need a whole definitely I'm sorry that was not understood.
No, just install "thick" gears from Revolution Gear into your rear Dana 44 and you will not need a new carrier.
Since you are currently running 3.73 gears your front Dana 30 already has the right carrier for 4.88 or 5.13 gears so it only needs standard (not thick) gears.
With thick gears in the rear and standard gears in the front you won't need any new carriers at all

Since he has 3.73 gears installed he won't need a front carrier for 4.88 or 5.13. His front Dana 30"s carrier break is between 3.54 and 3.73.I explained it in my first reply
