Just curious where you guys store your hand guns. I'm wanting to have options for the TJ and JK. I would prefer not to keep it in the glovebox. Maybe attached to the center console? Pictures would be awesome. Thanks guys!

Well sadly I’m not old enough yet to carry but I know some companies make handgun safes for under the driver seat that bolt right up.

Hmm so if I ever needed it, I'd have to ask the person attacking me to hold on while I unlock my box to get my weapon? Just a thought that has ran through my mind.

Some are available with fingerprint locks but if you truly want ease of access just stick a holster under the seat. Although I’m not sure that’s legal

I figure you could use one of those weir kydex holster mounts and just run some bolts through the console with nuts on the other side.

I have the bestop lockbox under the drivers seat. The one that I have works with the flip forward seat, but it’s not very big. It’ll hold some full size guns. My Sig 229 just barely fits.
On my right hip, and use left arm to release seatbelt while drawing with the right hand.
Alternatively, you could store one in a lock box while away from the vehicle and when you get in put it on a magnet mount under the steering column

I'm never planning on leaving it in the TJ because I have a soft top only. If I had to leave it, then glovebox or the lockbox are excellent options.

I highly recommend this brand. Installed this in my F150. I can drive like an Ass and the gun never moves. It will hold it in place. It comes with screws or 3m adhesive strips. The magnets are very strong. It does take a bit to get used to removing it.

If I carry in my F250 , my Beretta goes Barrell first between the seat and the console . I'd probably do the same in my TJ.
Incidentally , ever stand back and see an F250 console ?? It's as big as a TJ backseat. It's crazy.
I have know of folks in remote areas stumbling on pot fields or these days , more likely meth labs , so even wheeling, a gun is a good consideration .

I know they sell overhead security box for Tj but don’t know if it would fit a gun. Might want to look into it.
