Slip yoke is sloppy

Hello all, took the Jeep in to get aligned at a friends shop. He pointed out that my yoke coming out the rear end of the T-Case is sloppy, explains the clunking I’ve been hearing. Jeep sits so i heard it when i moved it the other day. How much would something like that cost to repair? Never had this happen to me with any of my two jeeps I’ve owned. Let me know!!

Normally when you have excessive movement at that location, the tail shaft bushing is worn out so that would most likely need replaced. How many miles on your Jeep?

I have like 140k i believe, i can’t remeber. Slip yoke eliminator was installed probably 5 years ago from the previous owner.

That would have been some good information to have in your original post. So exactly where is this “yoke” that has too much play.

Right where the rear drive shaft is connected, not the U joints but the main yoke coming out of the transfer case, it has some play.

Remove the driveshaft and check the torque on the yoke nut.
