Installed! Look great!

Finished up the rear main seal today, no pictures, because the job was boring, and wasn't worth wasting your time with them, but I will soon upgrade something with pics because I know this is a lame post. But it had to be said.
Question! My exhaust system is one big welded piece! Can you get it out of the way enough without having to cut it? Or was yours flanged so it was easier to move out of the way?

Your exhaust is different from the 97,98 (not sure when it chaged) we only have one pipe from the manifold to the tail.

But on theses models i was able to flex it out of the way no problem.

I just had to unbolt it at the exhaust flange where it bolts to the header. I soaked it for a while with PBblaster then the nuts came right off. Then I took the crossmember(skid plate) off and unbolted the trans mount which also holds the cat converter. That was enough to let it hang and I just worked around it. It wasn't fun, but not the worst job.

How difficult was it ? Im replacing my valve cover gasket because Im not sure were my leak it coming from. I've watched videos on the RMS....Seems like a long process but not too technically difficult.

With basic hand tools. And a torque wrench (Mandatory) it is fairly straightforward. Lots of videos on YouTube. Watch a couple and decide if you want to tackle it.

Its a lot of time on your back. Took me a day or two to recover.

No pics, but since this is the first warmish day since I went down with the flu last week, I got out to do a few accessory add ons to the LJ. Put a cabin air inlet scoop on the intake in an attempt to keep the leaves and other debris out of the blower motor. Installed one of those fancy junk trays with the GPS ball mount to the top of the dash. The more I look at it, the less crazy I feel about it. I've got another idea that I'm going to see if it might be better. And I hung a bunch of those web strap "panic grab handles" off the roll bar. At least the grand kids have something to hang onto now should Gramps start driving wild and crazy.

I've got my hitch receiver & trailer light kit in, but I'm still under the weather enough that getting on the cold ground isn't very appealing for now. And I need to change the transmission oil next I'm under there as well.

And I've narrowed just how the LJ has been marking it's territory. I've got a small power steering leak somewhere in the vicinity of the steering gear. It was getting dark on me when I figured that out and didn't have time to search it out more (have to remove the cover between the bumper and grill at this point). I'm hoping it's just a hose and not the steering box itself.

Installed some blue LEDs in the 97 dash...

I think I like the blue better... :)
Hard to tell the blue is a better picture. You don't have any glare in the picture from the blue and the glare makes the green kind of fuzzy. If the green actually has a glare, then I agree with the blue. but if the green actually doesn't glare all of the time. It would kind of be a closeup for me. I like them both.

I installed my XJ steering linkage. I took the opportunity to paint the front suspension with the same VHT epoxy paint that I used on the linkages. Pics came out crappy. I'll try some more tomorrow.

Agreed, the green was under different lighting, so that makes a little difference, i was too lazy to move the jeep :-/

Picked up a set of seats from an 05 with only 55,000 miles on them. Been looking for a solution for my broken down drivers seat foam for a while and these popped up on my FB marketplace feed. Paid 80 bucks for them...No frames and they appear to be Khaki and my interior color is Charcoal. So...I'll have some Factory seat covers for sale very soon! The covers are in excellent condition aside from being a bit dirty.

Removed the front bumper to start the winch install and a couple more el cheepo leds.

But..... i created a monster. After having my wife help and do work on the vehicle she won't let me bv do anything unless she is able to help.
This is going to take a while to complete.
