Hazard flasher issue

Recently I noticed the flashers only work when the Jeep in Key’d on or running

It’s a loud buzz and solid flasher opposed to blinking

I did a few searches and netted little to no info. Anyone have any ideas on what to check or perhaps a fix?

Are all of the bulbs functional?
If so the first thing I would try is the flasher relay. It’s located under the steering wheel trim and can be bought at most parts stores.
(You need the Novita LM470 flasher. This flasher will also work with LEDs.)

Thanks I’ll look into that and yes bulbs are functional. I do see a shirt from time to time breaking with the right signal ground turns solid and I have to bump the turn signal lever but I don’t think that has much to do with what’s going on here hopefully

The relay is mounted to the multifunction switch, so the relay would definitely be the first thing I would try. Based on this info, if the relay doesn’t solve the problem, next would be to replace the multi function switch.

I had a issue with my rear passenger blinker. It was just solid. Replacing the bulbs fixed it. I'd try that before you replace the multi function switch.
