Experienced a wobble on the highway

Hello folks, I’ve had this ELG Rubicon for about a year now. I installed Rancho 9000 2” shocks and springs with an additional 1 3/4 spacer in the front. Loved the ride and never had a problem. Until last week. I crossed a highway overpass and got a bad wobble. I think ok it’s just a one time thing until today it happened five or so more times on bumpy roads! What the heck? Thanks for any thoughts.

Was the lift done a year ago?
Has anything been done recently?
Maybe tire out of balance?

Lift was done about 9 months ago.
No other work done. Yet...
Good thought on the balance I’ll get that checked. Maybe I threw a weight?

What is your tire size and cold tire pressure? Grossly overinflated tires can be a trigger.

Tires are BFG 265-70-R16 inflated to about 30 psi.

Cool, that's reasonable, so not likely the problem. Those are about 31x10.5 and stock 30x9.5 OEM recommended pressure is 29 PSI. 31x10.5 would ride best around 28 PSI. I'd lower a bit and see if you like the ride better, can't hurt!

Check your front track bar at both ends. Mine was loosen, maybe one full wrench turn and got a really bad wobble.

Rod ends? Ball joints? Get someone to rock the steering wheel back and forth while you are under the front bumper. If anything wiggles or shifts from the steering wheel movements that could be it. Even slight shucking is a no-go.

Looks fine visually (though given the condition it appears to be in, I'm thinking your steering and bushings could probably use an overhaul).

You’re right. A wire wheel and fresh paint would be beneficial. I’ll look into getting some parts replaced. Thanks.
