Fantastic job! 110% better. If you're going to keep the stock bumper like I did, a lot lighter, you might like these rubber stubby bumper end caps from Guadratec you don't normally see. And, yes, get rid of that license plate holder on the back too.

Chrome off, flat black on with new headlights. New black hood latches, headlight bezels, and grill inserts. What y’all think?

I have chrome on my Steel Blue and like it. That said, your red looks much better with the black.

I don't mind tube bumpers but living in Ohio I've seen them rust out from the inside faster that a TJs frame.

The black everything looks great.

It is. I bought them local and the guy I got them from had some sort of accident and replaced with a different type. I paid a little bit of nothing for the front and the rear.

At least you won't get mad if you hit something with it. That's always a plus when something isn't pristine to start with.

When I got my yellow LJ it had Chrome bumpers, step bar, light bar (without lights) wheels, and a stupid bug guard. Slowly de-chroming it.... Only have wheels and hood latches to go.... I think your moving in the right direction.
