Can the TJ survive on the highway?

I run 70-75 as a cruising speed if I am sort of in a hurry. Rides fine. I have been about 85 before and it was okay, but that isn't a good cruising speed IMHO.

Yeah if I do it starts wobbling at 65 so I can’t really go any faster without the thing shaking off the road

If I can keep the tires balanced, mine is pretty good into the high 70s, low 80s. After that it starts to get a little buzzy. But the handling is still pretty good.

TJ, but usually cruze at 80 with 5 speed 4.0 3.73, 33x12.50 with no problem. Nobody gonna believe me but I was stupid and hit 110 once. A friend was behind me in his car and where we live the land is as flat as your kitchen table. I haven't changed my speedo gear to the correct one yet.

Thanks to a bunch of help from this forum, my Rubicon is very highway worthy. My wife has just driven it from Arkansas to SW
Colorado while I pulled our travel trailer with our GMC. That is a 1000 mile journey.
High Temps have been in the 95-100 range.

For the next three months it can be a jeep, with great clearance for these 4wd roads. She did the driving so we can have a summer and fall of fun.

My stock '05 LJ with the 6 speed and 30x9.50s handles about the same. I just don't get in any hurry with it and usually take the back roads to begin with. On the hwy, 60 to 65 seems to be it's happy spot.

Take the top off.. turn up radio real loud, and avoid any bumps on the highway.. will feel like 100... if not 80 would be fast as I would attempt
