Finally found a TJ

I finally found one. Forest Green Pearl with a hardtop. Has 117K on the ODO. 5 speed. Original owner, whom I met, towed it behind a motor home for 18.5 years. He figured maybe 30K in actual driving miles.
I took off the tow bar and added a winch. The underside is absolutely pristine, no leaks, no dents, and all the original part stickers are still attached.

Wow looks just like mine except without all the rust and spray paint and rigged up lights and home made fenders and cut up bumpers and corroded rims and worn out soft top and dents and oil leaks that mine has. Yep, other than that, it's just like mine.

If you want to find out just how far someone is pulling your leg, do a very simple test. Turn the key to the unlock position, (note that there is no power to anything at that position) and then have someone tow you around the neighborhood. Note ODO key on mileage before and after the trip. When you get done with that little experiment, you will figure out that the ODO does not register mileage in that position and that the mileage you see is the actual driven mileage.

Yeah what mr Blaine said, I’ve towed my o6 tj for ten years, and only have 30k on the odometer, the rv on the other hand has almost 60, so the Jeep has at least 15k in towed miles, but it’s one of four cars I have towed, none of them unless it was a cable driven odometer add miles.
