Hi everyone, i recently ordered a new PCM from RockAuto. Installed it but couldn't crank. I read online that it will need to be programmed to my VIN number which RockAuto didn't not ask for when i place the order. Now I want to return the parts, they would only refund core charge of 125 dollars. I spend 700 on a pcm that couldn't work. Can i program it off the vehicle? any suggestion where i can get it programmed?

I recently had one programmed by [email protected], he did a good job.

@Wranglerfix can do it I believe.

Also, I know @mrblaine knows someone who programs them as well (at least I believe so). Either way, you're likely going to have to send it off to have it re-programmed, unless you can find a Jeep dealer local to you who happens to have the older tools (and a tech who knows how to do it) to program your PCM.

I apologize for the delay in response. Please upload or send a photo of the pcm that Rock Auto sent you.

Thanks,

Mark

I forgot to ask what year is your Jeep? The 2005-06 are the ones with the issues.

2006. I hope the issues are fixable. appreciate your help.
Good morning Alex,

Please take a picture of the PCM you purchased and upload it. There are no new pcms available for the 05-06 TJ’s.

Programming can be done for $150 + whatever the shipping costs are.

Please include clear a picture of the label so I can see both hardware and software numbers.

Thanks,

Mark
