NV3500 transmission won't shift into gear

So my NV3500 has been doing this more often lately and it’s getting annoying. It’s drives great then out of nowhere I can’t shift. I shut it off put it in gear then start it up. It seems to be happening a bit more often so I’d like to take care of the issue. It happened 3x on my drive home today. It’s pretty unpredictable and it makes me nervous that it could happen turning in an intersection with oncoming traffic. I changed my master cylinder and slave recently as well as changed to Redline MTL. Any suggestions what needs to be done to permanently correct this issue?

It could be your syncros are worn out. Without them you can resort to double clutching.
It could be your shifting fork(s) are worn out. Sometimes replacing the plastic on the fork will help, other times not.
Either way, if it is internal wear or damage then either a rebuild or replacement is the only cure. The AX15 is a popular 'upgrade' that can handle a lot more abuse than the one you have now.

Would I be wasting time and money just replacing the clutch? Should I be looking to swapping or rebuilding?

I would first verify whether the clutch is in good shape or bad. But having shifting issues in only certain gears makes it less likely it is a clutch problem. If you can't determine the clutch condition yourself find a buddy with a lot of experience driving a stick and they should be able to tell you after driving your Jeep a block or two.
Replacing the trans isn't really any more work than replacing the clutch so it is a easy job to do over a weekend. If you have a little help or a lift it can be done before lunch.
