who posts pics with my Iphone and goes back and adds text to my posts on my PC because I'm too lazy to deal with the PITA of loading pics from Iphone to PC?

I think of it as an analog solution to a digital problem.

Loading pics from my iPhone to my iMac is easy... I mean VERY easy.

Loading them to a PC I can't comment on, since the last time I owned a PC was probably 15 years ago. I wouldn't use a PC again if you paid me

Android I just take the pic on my phone. Then I email it to myself. And open it on PC. Download the image. And then upload here. You're right. And analog solution to a digital problem.

I've never gotten good with viewing sites on my phone. Or uploading pics and making comments on mobile. It's a PITA IMHO. (This site has a good app. It's just me. I don't like navigating the internet on my phone.) I wish they made a bigger (wider) Samsung phone like the old Note.

I get paid to use PCs. Downloading to them is super easy too. But I still do the same thing the OP is saying if the picture isn't something I actually want to keep.

@matkal - I haven't moved pics between my iPhone and PC in a while. However, if I'm not mistaken, you can set the PC to act as if the iPhone is an external drive.

When you connect your iPhone for the first time, your PC should pop up a dialog box asking you what you want to do when you plug it in in the future.

When I transfer pics that’s how I do it, when it had an android phone I just popped out the SD card and drag and drop.

I use an app on my android phone when connected to home wireless that lets me just browse to the phone from any computer browser and download the files directly... no cables needed and works the same for a MAC (Shudder) or PC

Oh man!!!! I’m with ya ! 2012 iMac I still use today as if it were only 6 months old....I’ve owned a few pc’s in the past and after 2 years your restarting them twice a week due to freezing up!

I know some don’t like the Cloud for privacy reasons etc., but I’m definitely not going back to manual transfer and backup ever again. On my Android phone and iPad, I use Google Photos. Any time I take a pic on either device, it automatically uploads to the Cloud (you can wait until on WiFi to avoid data charges if that applies, I believe it waits as the default). If I want to look at photos from a Mac, PC, Linux, Chromebook, Android etc., I just go to the Google Photos website via a browser (or app for iOS or Android) and it is already done, the pics are already there, I don’t ever have to do anything.

The Google Photos app can also intelligently clear space from your phone or tablet when the local cache of photos takes too much space. Also, if I want to download pics to my own permanent home storage device from the Cloud, I can still bulk download pics from Google Photos if needed. If I want to view or share pics with others, I can easily do this from any device that has access to the Internet from anywhere (share albums, individual photos etc.).

I do the same for Music. All my digital music (legacy mp3 etc.) has been uploaded into Google Play and I can listen from my phone, Jeep (Android Auto), office PC, home Mac, Linux, Chromebook etc.

I have nothing against Macs! I’m a gamer, photojournalist, and an editor. I’m much happier with how games and applications perform on my PC.

I own a MacBook Pro (2009, still works) and had Final Cut Pro Suite 2 loaded up on it. It was good for letting me get other crap done around the house while I waited hours for it to render projects.

I went to arch a number of years ago because most others include way too much that I never used (and I wanted to know more how it all worked). It’s a love/hate relationship sometimes with maintaining it
