This is my '06 TJ. I have owned it for about 6 years. It is primarily my driveway plow vehicle. I only plow my own driveway and keep it off the salted roads except for the occasional run to the gas station. I have a Delta bumper bar with LED tail/brake lights and REALLY bright backup lights. It is great for night-time snow storm plowing. I have front air shocks to handle the plow. I added the rocker guards last year after some rust bubbled up. I repaired it and installed the guards. I haven't much else to it beyond maintenance. The frame is excellent! I have used full-size trucks which push better, but to me, the Jeep is hands down the best plow vehicle for my needs. Even with street tires, it pushes all the snow NE Ohio (snow belt) can throw at it. With the short wheel base, it is so maneuverable in tight areas.
I have been fighting the Jeep rabbit hole as I know it is a deep hole. This forum is dangerous
. After the weather warms, I plan to do wheels and bigger tires. I battle with myself on this. It will look better, but I almost prefer tires that spin if I push it too hard. The tires are the least path of resistance which is preferred to transferring it to the frame and drive-line. But, I do go easy on it. I am not in a hurry and don't make any money doing it.
I will also do something with the Delta bumper light bar. I may incorporate the lights into the factory bumper. It looks kind of shitty with it hanging on the back of the bumper now. I will also add some LED side flashers to keep me lit up when I back onto the street.
Anyway, here it is:
