Sounds like money well spent. My next big jeep purchase is a new home for it with a lake view and detached 2 car garage.
right there with you. I haven't even made the first mortgage payment yet on the new home...an attached 2.5 car with space (just under an acre) for a detached 2 car once I've recovered a bit.
Now it's full of boxes and my tools aren't arranged - this photo is from the listing and was a factor in my decision process.
I tried the sun rider and in Colorado, the it just ate me up and I did not like it. With the doors off and windows stowed this thing feels like a dream!
I wasn't going to because I wanted some lift parts, but I figured the weather is turning this next week so if it stays, I will need something for my windows. Last year I used blankets, towels and a tarp and laid them on my flat trailer under the carport. I figured I would use it sooner then when I will be able to do lift stuff.

@Apparition any issue with it sagging in middle in heat? Read a suggestion to use swim noodle in center to give it bit added rigidity.

If I get a chance in the next couple weeks I'll roll my windows up and post some pictures to show how I do it. Need to locate my cloverpatch due to the recent move.
The sun is intense here. I don't use it so much in summer afternoons. It's more when it's cooler to get a little solar heating to offset the air cooling.

I just ordered one of these. When it shows up I am telling my wife it is your fault.
Did anybody who ordered a cloverpatch get a chance to use it? I still haven’t located mine, it’s lost from a move.
I put my windows in it, but haven't taken them back out to see what they look like. Only thing that I am a little worried about is having to roll the rear side windows up. I have always laid them flat on top of a trailer I had sitting under my carport. Not sure what rolling them up is going to do to them as far as when I try to put them back on. I may be able to tell you Sunday or Monday. Depends on if I decide to put the windows back in or drive the other car for the couple of rainy days we are supposed to get
Oh, and I didn't attach it to the Jeep. I only wanted it to make it easier to store them at home. This way they are safe and easy to hang somewhere. Right now they are just rolled up sitting on that trailer mentioned above. LOL Haven't made an actual spot for them yet. LOL
I only had them rolled for a week or two at a time, never had any adverse effects to the windows.
@Apparition how did you fit the LJ windows? Being longer than TJ side windows they stick out or I’m doing it wrong.
It’s been a while and I still haven’t found my cloverpatch bag since my move.
If I remember correctly, pull the plastic pieceS our (slide them in the bag on the outside of the roll) and I may have folded the fabric part of the window over but don’t fold the actual window.

I did this same thing but I bought a alien sunshade instead of the MDF board. All three windows fit and I put towels between them to protect from scratching, plus if im putting the windows in its probably raining so its nice to have the towels. Just a thought if your MDF gets ruined. Plus if for some reason I want to use the sunrider I am still not baking in the sun.
True, my pics don’t show the towels but I did staples towels to it as well to prevent scratches and preserve the windows.
