TJ Rear Seat Won't Lock

My stock rear seat locks in the open position fine. It removes easily. But when trying to fold it up and out of the way, it will not stay. The back stays folded, but the seat flops up and down. What am I missing? I don't see a latch to hold it forward or down. Probably something simple...

Mine doesn't lock in the fold up position either. I didn't think that was a feature.

There is no latch to hold it foward and in the folded position, the weight is so far foward it's unnecessary. Sounds like you may be completely unlatching the seat from it's track.
There's a separate knob high on the seat for folding.

I use the tabs on the roll bar to bungee the seat in the upright position. In the thread below, I used rubber-rope and adjustable hooks but a pair of 10 to 12" black rubber bungees would work just as well. Any HD truck store carries these and most automotive shops. As you see in the last picture, there's a great place to store them under the seat where they are invisible with the seat down.
