Jensen Heavy Duty Radio

I don't , but would like to know more about it ...lay it on us ....and can you change the light colors ?

O
All I know is what's on the Amazon link, plus on Jensen's website. Don't know, don't think so, but don't care about the light colors. It looks tailor made for a Jeep.
One review has a it in a CJ-8, said it's easy to operate driving too.

Yea, I saw that. It certainly looks promising. The "easy to operate" is a large part of my interest - by eliminating features I'll never use, the panel looks much simpler than most.

I hate my JVC and it’s glitchy as all hell....who know how old it is. I’m ready to upgrade the whole system. I have the factory sub in the console and only knew that from messing with the settings one day...and felt a little ruble on my arm as it sat on the console lid. Lol,

Let us know!!

I have a JVC in my old Benz - actually the second one I've had in that car. The first one I put in about 15 years ago, bought it used from a co-worker. It finally died about 3 years ago, so I got another JVC, thinking I wouldn't have to re-wire. They had changed the connector...

Its fine, but it has way too many tiny buttons on it, and features I'll never use. Heck, I haven't even used the bluetooth on it, why did I get that? More buttons! The only thing this HD Jensen has that I won't use is Sirius control, so that means fewer, larger buttons, simple, easy to read display, and the HD and waterproofing is just a bonus! I'm just going to use the stock speakers - they're perfectly fine for my purposes. I usually only listen to the stereo on long trips, and then only on interstates in light to moderate traffic - as soon as the traffic gets heavy, the scenery becomes interesting, or the road has cross traffic, etc, the thing gets turned off anyway! I like the idea of simple AM/FM/USB "Geek stick" - what more do I need?

It doesn't appear that I have a "sub woofer" - there's a block off plate behind the grill. If a speaker that size can even be called a woofer - sub or otherwise.

Bookmarked. i will get getting this radio.

i wanted to get a double din for the TJ. but as ive thought more about it. i'm going with a single, and going to stack my CB and AM/FM radio into the dash.

Edit: its a little sad it doesnt play CD's. i have a few i like to keep in my cars.

Haha, I’m old school as hell, my wife has a whole folder of CD’s in her Runner that she doesn’t listen to.

I finally embraced my streaming music from amazon. It’s all I use these days.

So. i still have cassette tapes in my tacoma. 5 of them actually. one of them my dad has had longer than i've been alive. and i still listen to it somewhat frequently.

BUT IF MY LOCKER COMES IN BEFORE THE RADIO. the radio will sit in the box until i have driven the jeep around without the rear end exploding. because i'm installing new gears myself. and i'm a certified youtube professional.

and i have a vague idea of that i am doing.

That's precisely my plan, stack this radio and a CB in the dash with the Metra bezel kit. Which isn't an exact fit from what I'm reading, a bit of "engineering" is require for best results apparently.

When I replaced the JVC in the Benz, I got one with a USB input. Now, that's all I use, I very seldom ever play CDs anymore. Since the CD player is what went south in the first JVC I had...

yeah i currently have my CB sitting at the base of my shifting boot under my 12v cig plugs. and i thought i liked it. but now that ive stared at it a while. i hate it. which is a shame because i cut up my console to put it there. oh well. i wantted an aftermarket console anyways.

i think stacking it with the AM/FM unit in the bezel would look so much cleaner.
i'm glad i'm not the only once to have this idea

@Zorba i'll take pics when it comes in, i'll just toss it in the stock bezel. not sure if i will modify the stock bezel, or order a double din bezel.
