Stereo issues

I just bought my 99 tj with a sound design bar in it. It has after market polk momos all around but if I turn it up to just hear it through the road noise it sounds like static coming through the speakers? Could it be a ground issue? Or speakers? Thanks for the help.

It's most likely a bad ground from the head unit or one of the speakers.

My radio went full blown static few days ago. Was working fine before, only thing that I can think is the cause is my bad clock spring. Radio fuse good or it was time for the radio to retire.

I just put a new radio in I think it might be a power issue on mine it sounds crystal clear it's just when I turn it up to 24 it doesn't distort it just sounds like an old 2 knob radio when you tune in a station coming through the speakers.
