Just bought my first hard top

I just installed my first Bull Dawg Hardtop on my 2001 Jeep Wrangler. The crate that it was shipped should have told me what the quality of the top would be. There was no way this top was going to get damaged unless you ran a forklift through the box. I have ordered a lot of products over the years nobody protects their product as these people do. Went to put the top on, everything fit like glove. Their instruction booklet that came with the top was very detailed. I suggest reading before installation as I did. I had absolutely had no problems with the installation of the top, it fit as close as one can make a top fit. The quality of the top is superb detailed to the max. So the next trip was to the local car wash <Lazy after putting the top on> the top never dripped a drop of water in the jeep, absolutely incredible. Made my day. Congrats on the hardtop. I've looked into their hardtop and I really like the side windows that open and you can get two sunroofs which I think is nice.

Which model did you get and could you post some pics inside and out?

Thanks for posting this. Bull Dawg is about to launch an LJ top; strongly considering getting it. The idea of flip up rear windows to reach gear in the back is stellar.

Having came from CJ soft tops... I used to really envy the hardtop guys... When I finally got into TJ's and I got a hardtop for it I knew why.

I love the hardtops, I love the soft tops, and I love having the top off too.

Just looked at their website. You can remove the side windows on their hard tops! I could see keeping the top on all the time like that.

How much does it weigh? I put it in my cart just for kicks and giggles and it says 210 pounds. Thats got to be the shipping weight right?

Well dammit to hell, I wish I had known about these when I sold my factory hardtop & went with a soft. For the amount I sold my factory hardtop I could have gotten pretty close to what one of these costs. I absolutely loved my hardtop, but in the summer we like to go with no doors & the kids like to ingress/egress over the rear wheels, storing the hardtop come every spring just got to be a pain in the ass. This thing looks perfect.

Are they not easily removable? Seems like a big selling point would be the ability to take them out rather than have them propped open.

I read the entire Facebook post including questions from potential customers. They say the LJ windows are not removable. Their website shows the TJ windows being easily removed. I really dont like the look of the sliding windows they have for the LJ version. I would be much much more interested in one from them if the LJ windows were like the TJ windows, can be swung up or removed.

Bull Dawg Manufacturing
$2,699.99 and that comes with the Discovery/Sliding side windows. There are 5 different roof racks to choose from along with Sunroof and Defroster.....not to mention a LJ Highlander model same as the TJ and JK.

This looks really nice, but don't know if I could spend $2700 for something that is probably going to add a lot of weight.
