Squealing noise

Coming from belt area change every pulley and belt so I'm assuming it's either a/c compressor power steering or water pump internal bearing anyway to narrow it down sorta leaning towards a/c because o turn it on and the squeal gets fainter not much but a little don't wanna change that if that's not it though and help appreciated thanks

Make sure you don't have any coolant or anything else leaking on the belt. A few drops of coolant will make a belt squeal like a pig.

Pour some water on the belt when it's running. If it stops squealing it's the belt.

It's not the belt if you read it it's a bearing in a/c power steering water pump or alternator

you can easily bypass the AC with a smaller belt. that will either identify the A/C as the culprit of rule it out.

Maybe with the belt off you could spin the PS and Alternator by hand and see if you feel any friction.

What year TJ? on my 2006 the alternator is on the opposite side as the a/c compressor and PS.

You should be able to hear which side of the Jeep has the squeal

Have another tj of course it has a/c or I would take the belt of that just hit a 100k me giving me problems

Does it sound different with the A/C on versus A/C off? if it does not chances are the A/C compressor is not the culprit.

I have seen friends use a long screwdriver placed the tip on a part (eg alternator) and the ear on the plastic end. It will sound louder when you are touching the part that is vibrating.

The OPDA can also cause squealing sound. It is not in the front of the engine but here is the link just in-case.

I would bypass A/C compressor just to rule it out.

Don't wanna buy a belt to bypass it any other way to

just squirt a small shot of WD40 in the back of each pulley 1 at a time. See which bearing stops squealing for a minute then you know which one it is. Just dont get any on the belt.

It's a internal bearing inside whatever

Take your phone, put on video and while it's running "carefully" move it around front and rear of each unit. Then turn your volume up and watch. You should be able to hear the noise and see where it is.
