I need some help before I really jack something up. Everything on my 97 TJ door hinge was locked down...so the Torx were stripped and require a lot of effort to get them out. Now that all of the bolts are out including the one at the window hinge, the hinge is stuck to the body almost like it’s glued. It is just stuck with rust or something correct? there is not a another hidden connector or special trick with getting the hinge up and away from the body? Just want to consult some experts before I start working on it with force. Thanks in advance for the help.

Based on the thread title, that's a good question. Based on the first post of this thread, it may be about something else.
@J Barre , give us a little help with the issue you're having.
Heat. The bottom side of the torx has a lot of surface area that can seize to the tapered portion of the hole. A little heat from a torch frees them right up. You also won't hurt the paint. In addition, all those torx have thread locker on them and the heat helps with that.
You absolutely must use heat. Once you do they spin right out. The hinge may just be seized, but hopefully this helps with any bolts you have that are still stuck.

Thanks for the replies. I did have all of the bolts out, it was just the paint and 23 years of other stuff holding the hinge on. As custommuffler said...some tapping and working with a hammer and it worked it’s way free. Going to try the heat with the Torx on the other side as jodomcfrodo said...also read that there is a wax/sealant ring around those factory Torx that acts like a sealant. The other posts said the heat loosens that sealant up. Thx again for the advice.
