Would you still drive a TJ if...

Probably...I like the open air aspect, and bombing down two tracks is part of the appeal. I live in Michigan, so no shortage of dirt roads and seasonals (like fire roads out west). If I lived somewhere with little to no "offroad" opportunities, like out east or something, then to be honest, I'd have an old 'vette (which is still on my list).
HELL YES! My wife and I were talking about this the other day.
We both like the open air, no top / no doors aspect. But, we also like the fact that it's a bigger (and taller vehicle) than a convertible (which would be the only other way you'd get that full air effect).
So yeah, even without being able to off-road it, I would still own a Wrangler.
Let's also not forget about it's simplicity!

You bet. I enjoy traveling in the Jeep. For 7 years, I commuted with it once a week from the Texas Hill Country to IAH for the airline job. I recall but once needing the front axle, to go cross country as tropical storm Allison flooded the Houston area. Had to go through a golf course, as all the roads were flooded. And the AT tires handled the rainy roads, too. It's my ride, man!
Absolutely, it's not my daily driver, just a toy. And there isn't much for wheeling opportunities in SE Minnesota, just ATV trails. The full size trails are 5 hours north in the Superior National Forest and the Iron Range, so it's more of just a fun summer cruiser than a dedicated off road rig. That said once I'm finished building her I'll take her up north once or twice a year to flex her out.

I bought mine to use as a woods toy, so I'm honestly not sure if I would keep it or not. I do enjoy driving it with the top down and doors off though. Hmmmm..... If I didn't have the Jeep, I'd probably have a second gen WRX STI.

Yes. No doubt about it. I would just cruise around with the top down, doors off and one foot outside!

I will never get rid of my open Jeep I love it. My wife hates no doors but loves no top. I wound feel right In the summer with no open air option

Well, I've been daily driving my TJ since I bought it brand new in 2005. I've wheeled it lots, but since I installed my 4" Savvy/Currie suspension, and had it regeared to 5.13, I haven't wheeled it at all.
Just haven't had the chance to go, and all my money was going into our adoption process.
So my TJ, which has thousands wrapped in it, has been a mall crawler!
I don't plan on getting rid of it. My wife and I have been happy with just driving around with the doors and top off. It's just fun to drive on the weekends.

Definite "yes" here. I got the bug back in high school with a '69 CJ. I had the good luck of getting a Jeep company car in 1990 - not a Wrangler but a fully loaded XJ Laredo. They paid me to go off roading (sort of). I managed a number of large development properties (several thousand acres) that I had to inspect from time to time. I bought a TJ when I retired over 4 years ago and a LJ about a year ago. They're my daily drivers. I don't do any heavy off roading, camping, kayaking and biking mainly, but they been all over the province and a lot of it in the ice and snow.
yes, I live in central London, it costs a small fortune just to keep it parked out on the street, love every minute of driving it. only been "off-road" once in two years.

Love reading all the positive vibes about people loving their TJ and I’m right there with ya. 
Mine is 70% on road and 20% off road ( and 10% in garage modifying ) 4 years of ownership and I still crack a smile whenever I’m behind the wheel.Love the versatility of it..it will plough through rain storms with the top on and come summer its stripped down for a completely different ride. Nothing else like this out there...

Definitely! I live in NJ and quite a hike from full size trails in NY or PA or even the Pine Barrens in South Jersey. My 2002 TJ is my DD for the last 4 years and I wish I bought it sooner!
