Drivers hard door weather strip

I can not get my weather strip to stay inside the track on the bottom of the hard door. Does that mean i have to get a new weather strip?
I actually think the rubber bottom trim entrance piece is what messed it up.
Is there a way to make my weather strip work or shoould I buy a new weather strip?????

There appears to be plastic pins inside the rubber weather stripping that hold the stripping in place around most of the door.
Just in case this is the drivers side full door weather stripping; Mopar OEM PN 0501 7463 AH

The only part that’s out, is on the bottom and won’t stay in is about 2’ long. It seems to be a rail that the molding fits in.

I have one (05017463AH) in the Mopar box sitting next to me.
Just checked that number online and it is for the drivers side; the passenger side is 05017462AH of which I ordered recently.
With as much as it rains in Jax; I am making sure the doors have new door seals.

If it's all properly installed, try taping it down with masking tape. This should allow you to close the door and the weatherstripping can conform to its proper position.

thanks, I put some new rugged ridge entrance guards on and I think thats what messed up the weatherstripping. ill use the masking tape ;

yes sir the gap is uniform , its just tighter becase of the rugged ridge entrance guard.

Maybe your seals are in need of replacement.

Maybe I could have worded that better. I put on the Rugged Ridge guards.

If I were to guess about the seals I'd say they came from the factory with the rest of the Jeep because from what I can tell my TJ spent most of it's life in a garage before I bought it.

this is what my weather seal looks like, I have put it back in the channel several times and it keeps popping out.
So are yall telling me when I get the new weather seal it has the channel connected to it? and when I take the old weather seal off I will need to remove the channel on the bottom of the door?

The drivers side seal I ordered from Quirk Jeep in MA.
The passenger side seal I ordered from Mopar Parts Overstock.

Not trying to contradict you but just wanting to make sure I order the right part.

According to Mopar Parts Overstock; the PNs that I posted supersede the PN you posted.
Check the PN that I provide against the PN you posted.
Mopar lists PN 05017463AH as out of stock for the drivers side, but 05017462AH is still available for the passenger side...

IIRC, i bought an OMIX off Amazon for less. there is a knockoff that the pin locations were moved (thinkin the Crown, but not sure). but was only mentioned in the product reviews.

are all your pins intact? are the holes all tight and grip the pins securely?

those door guards suck they are just a dirt and moisture trap...........mask off around the area you want protected and paint it. now you got extra protection with no profile.

The bottom of the weather strip has come out of the track that it fits in. who knows maybe someone used an after market weather strip , but there is a metal strip on the bottom of the door that holds the weather strip and it wont hold it any more. tell ya what Ill go bring the door inside and get some pictures right now and post them. I really want to get to the bottm of this and get the right thing ordered.
