Slightly off the topic at hand, but is it worth it getting an upgraded spline locker for the f/r? I cant seem to find a 30 spline powertrax no slip, and what spline could I run in the rear (beside 35 spl). My rearend shop I talked to said he would throw in the chromos if I brought them to him for free since they have to be out anyway

No need for a 30 spline up front, you can upgrade the front shafts to hardened 4340 alloy 27 spline shafts and they'll hold up great for 35's, locker, and hard-core wheeling. That's what I did for my previous TJ after breaking a front OE axle shaft on Sledgehammer. It held up afterward without problem, even on Sledgehammer again.

What JB said....good quality stock size shafts.
Even if you go 30 spline in the diff. The Dana 30 outers are still 27 spline. So no real gain, increased cost, limited replacement parts make the gain small than the potential problems. Stay with stock spline counts and it’s easier to find spares.

It is possible to have 30 spline inners and outers but there's no 30 spline unit-bearing hubs worth installing. MileMarker made them for a while but they had problems and weren't worth installing. You'd have to convert to 30 spline manual hubs to run the 30 spline outers.

Word of warning if you buy from Amazon. I purchased a used like new no slip locker for about $50 off the list price. The problem is they sent the wrong one, they sent the powertrax lockright.
I ended up just purchasing an Torq Locker which was very easy to install. I do hear ratcheting every once in a while. Have not had a chance to test it offroad but I've had a decent amount of opportunity to drive on snow/ice here in Tennessee. I can tell the locker is in the front axle most when trying to do a sharp turn on the snow/ice but it's drivable. This jeep isn't a daily driver so I'm not required to drive it if I don't want.

Im hoping that doesnt happen to me. The only thing im gonna buy axle wise off amazon are the front chromos. Quadratec sells rear chromos from G2 core (stock spline) and my rearend shop said hed order the lockers/gears through his supplier.
just a side note- anyone ever run sierra gears? He uses those and I asked why not one like revolution and he said cause Sierra gears are made in italy while most of the others are imported from china

They're out of Rancho Cordoba, in the same warehouse building as West Coast Differentials and Ring and Pinion Service, about a block from MetalCloak. They've been there for quite awhile but I've never run their gears.
