What do I need to buy for a re-gear?

I am finally ready to regear and add lockers. I've decided to go with revolution gears per recommendations. 5:13 with 33's (for now) but moving to 35's when I need new tires. The only problem I have is, I'm not sure exactly what to buy to complete the gear change. i want to be able to hand my mechanic all the needed parts. I've seen the master overhaul kits on revolutions website but its sold out. However the actual ring and pinion are available just not in the kit. What do I need to complete this gear change? links or lists are always welcomed/appreciated. thanks gentlemen

Ask the mechanic ...if he doesn't know, you have the wrong guy.

This is one of those jobs where unless you know what you're doing with a regear, you shouldn't purchase any parts that your mechanic won't warranty. You'll need them to warranty the parts and their labor. My suggestion is to get some options from your mechanic and choose from there.

Call or text Robert from http://rwkhaussupply.com/ and tell him what you're looking for. He sourced my Revolution gears and master install kit. Another source is Ricky from https://www.4lowparts.com/.

If your mechanic allows you to bring in the parts (most 4x4 shops told me I had to order through them) might be worth email to Robert at RWKHaus [email protected]. He quoted me good price on Revolution parts as well as lockers.

I ordered all my stuff from Rick with 4 low parts. What axles do you have? Going with 35’s in the future I would definitely look into super kits so you can get those larger diameter shafts

Keep in mind sometimes mechanics charge more per hour with customer supplied parts than parts supplied by the mechanic. Master install kits should have the R&P, carrier bearings & races, inner & outer pinion bearing w/ races, assorted carrier shims, assorted pinion shims, front axle seals, two pinion seals, two pinion nuts, new ring gear bolts, diff cover gasket and/or gasket maker.

How many miles on the rear axle bearings & seals? Might consider replacing with the rear axle shafts out..
How many miles on the front axle shaft U-joints.. Might want to consider replacing with them out...
How many miles on the front unit bearings?..."........."
One thing I've always been taught.. Whenever driveshaft's have been removed from the axle, replace with new straps & bolts...

the jeep has a little over 88k miles. I decided to give the shop a call and they said they would order all the parts for me at a discount so i just went that route. I do appreciate your advice and info. thank you!

Have the shop provide everything. The shop's warranty will only cover what they provide.
