A maroon scotchbrite pad and wd40. Used a block and did forward and back strokes for the first pass with 50% overlap. Then wiped it all down, got a fresh pad and only did forward strokes for the final pass.

Sliders painted with rustoleum truck bed coating. I really like this stuff for sliders. It comes out more like a textured black paint rather than the booger texture of most bed liners. It’s more like sandpaper. The reason I like it better than spray paint is when you go to touch up spots it fills in the scrapes better than spray paint and blends perfectly whereas spray paint looks like crap if you just shoot a burst over a chip or scrape.
Used a JKS license plate holder on the spare. Wired the light to the third brake wires then tapped the third brake wires into the running lights. If you wanted to retain your third brake lighting you could convert the ground wire to power the license plate light and just ground both the lights to the tire carrier.
Countersunk the license plate holes and and filled them with extra savvy hardware.
100% agree, I did my sliders and bumpers with that for the same reason.

I wasn’t planning on doing this much but it just worked out that way since @pc1p was needing to sell stuff and I was already really wanting that stuff in the future anyways.

Me too. I enjoy switching off between spurts of lots of trails and spurts of work. I’m due for some trails.
