I got the following all together:

Rebuilt Warn 8274-50 (1990s Model originally)
150ft Synthetic Rope
85ft Sythentic Rope
2x Tree Savers
Wireless Remote (Badlands from Harbor Freight)
4x 3/4" D-Rings

Not sure how I'm going to be mounting this to my TJ Wrangler yet but I've been looking for a good deal for Warn 8274 for a while now. I got all of this for $1500 bucks and it was only about 1.5 hours from my house as well.

I need to read up on synthetic ropes and on the Warn 8274 as well. All my previous winches have been steel cable winches that were mounted on car trailers so I've got to figure out power delivery and everything else for my setup.

Let me know what you think!
Thanks
Grant

Thanks, I just need to figure out how I'm going to mount this to the front of my Wrangler and see if it's going to affect the cooling of my engine and turbo intercooler once I have it mounted.
They are big and heavy, but the synthetic line and hawse fairlead will help bring the weight down some!

Yeah I was caught a little offguard by the weight when I lifted it without any rope on it, though the synthetic line really doesn't weigh much at all!

Nicely done. I love mine!
Do you have yours mounted on your Wrangler? If so any pictures?

I do. Since I knew I was going to change bumpers, I decided I didn't want a TJ-specific plate. So instead I found a free winch plate on FB Marketplace and modified it to accept a JK 8274 plate that was more universal and that I could reuse down the road bolted to the top of my new bumper. The JK plate was also had a little smaller profile so I felt like it would block a little less air flow.

That looks awesome! Yeah I'm probably going to figure out a way to adapt the plate it came with to my front bumper.

Thanks. And definitely plan for a 3/4" spacer up front. I'm running OME 934 ZJ V8 coils and still lost between 3/4" and 1".
Good to know, I might be okay because my engine is so much lighter than the stock 4.0l but with the weight so far forward it still might be an issue as well. I'll have to get it mounted and see how it does.

Look it isn't gunna work on your TJ so you can just send it to me since I already have my bumper setup and waiting for me to rebuild my current 8274. You put that heavy winch in front of the diesel and it won't be able to go faster than 25MPH.....

Damn that is an awesome DEAL congrats and really enjoy all that stuff. You got a heck of a score on that package.

I got me a winch plate cut and formed at a local Fabshop, then I welded a 2” receiver on my reenforced ARB bumper and with having a heavy wall 2” tubing welded to the winch plate, I can rotate the entire unit upside down in a minute, for night driving without covering up my 9” LIGHTFORCE frying pans

Best damn winch you can get IMHO! If my Jeep ever goes, my 8274 will NOT be going with it!! Mine is still running the original motor from 1985 and it shows no signs of giving up!

For the wiring, I'd recommend ditching the solenoid and going with a contactor.
