LJ rear cargo storage

The heavy weight of those keep them in place pretty well huh? It’s hard maximizing security/space/weight sometimes, that’s my struggle.
that could turn into quite the headache if you roll the Jeep. A few bolts would be cheap insurance.
I made my own. Well designed it them had a place cut and bend the steel for me. It has a piece on top with a lip bent down. And bolted to a piece that rides along the back seat. The back seat piece is held down with small turnbuckles into the anchor points in the floor. I then put a piece of angle aluminum on the tailgate to hold the front edge from being lifted up. If anyone's interested I could take some more pics and figure out how to get the measurements on here.

Sort of. It's set up for casters, but no reason you couldn't use those hole preps for thru bolts.

I think you are talking about the LJ trunk box from Gr8tops. Does it attach to the floor of the jeep at all?
I designed the Gr8Tops box and mine is the preproduction prototype. The only difference betwen mine and the production box is that I made the production box slightly lower so it can fit under a tonneau cover, after I had the prototype built by the box company I decided it was slightly too tall.

In the process I also designed a few other TJ/LJ storage boxes, but Gr8Tops decided not to put them in production...

What did you do to pick up the tie down points on the floor, did you use a turn-buckle like an above poster? Do you have a picture of the mount? I just got a GR8TOP box and deciding how to mount it now.
When I designed the box for Gr8Tops, I wrote a draft document describing how to mount it in early and late model LJs (they have different tie-down points). I intended that Gr8Tops would include the information in whatever instructions they included with the trunk box. I don't know if they ever did include any instructions, so here is the original draft I did years ago.
FWIW, these photos were taken in my 2006 LJ and the box gets mounted this way every time I install it. I've never had any issues with it moving. (Photos of my LJ are in post 3 in this thread, I won't repeat them here).

Thanks very much for that, no, they didn't include any instructions with the box. I like the J-hook idea.
No I drew and cut it on a cardboard template. Took a couple times but when it finally fit right I then took that to the fabrication place.
