I know, why? Obviously just interested in the building process, but as far as actually driving it and on and off-road and setting it up just right, no vision. It’s odd to me all these people that LS swap and then sell.
Or it doesn’t work right or they ran out of money.I know, why? Obviously just interested in the building process, but as far as actually driving it and on and off-road and setting it up just right, no vision.
Most TJ enthusiasts are interested in building it themselves, to their liking. Building is half of the fun. That guy threw away a lot of money.Or it doesn’t work right or they ran out of money.
Someone in the Valley who flips TJs regularly bought a bone stock 2006 LJR with 55k miles for like 26k. Showed up on CL a couple months later for 36k with a teraflex long arm lift and god awful looking bumpers. I get the build is fun but man don’t ruin it for other people. Most TJ enthusiasts are interested in building it themselves, to their liking. Building is half of the fun. I wonder if he got that kind of money for it. I bought a bone stock 2003 TJR and am flipping it, but what I did was paint correction, parts corrections, maintenance items, frame surface rust removal and OEM paint specs restored, among other small items making it pristine, then put up for sale. Not building, just improving what was there and restoring to original. Ain’t odd..just obvious that it ain’t all it’s cracked up to be…It’s odd to me all these people that LS swap and then sell.
Well I’m preparing for an LS swap so it better be.Ain’t odd..just obvious that it ain’t all it’s cracked up to be…

Ask @mrblaine how many “quality” LS swaps has seen come through his place. It’s odd to me all these people that LS swap and then sell.
Not odd to me at all. I know of a very outstanding shop that did an LS swap build for a friend of mine. He hasn't reported the exact issues but reading between lines, it has taken a year to get close to getting all the bugs ironed out. I also know from folks I stay in touch with who go on those "adventure" runs that most of the rigs they are there with are LS swapped. They are the cause of the vast majority of issues. Everything from overheating, not charging, oil pressure problems, mechanical drive train issues, trans issues and more. It’s odd to me all these people that LS swap and then sell.

You have obviously never slammed the accelerator to the floor on a TJ Unlimited and roasted the 40's without power braking it. That or having that much fun on tap doesn't appeal to your sensibilities.Ain’t odd..just obvious that it ain’t all it’s cracked up to be…
Looking forward to that. You have obviously never slammed the accelerator to the floor on a TJ Unlimited and roasted the 40's without power braking it. That or having that much fun on tap doesn't appeal to your sensibilities.
If you want to do it the easy way, just get some Milestar Pats.Looking forward to that.
That’s probably the smarter way, 40” MT/R’s aren’t cheap. Could order a couple extra wheels for sacrificial smoke show tires. If you want to do it the easy way, just get some Milestar Pats.
I know someone who has done that to at least 5 sets of Red Label Krawlers. That’s probably the smarter way, 40” MT/R’s aren’t cheap. Could order a couple extra wheels for sacrificial smoke show tires.
Guess not, But I suppose if you said it’s good.. then I guess it isYou have obviously never slammed the accelerator to the floor on a TJ Unlimited and roasted the 40's without power braking it. That or having that much fun on tap doesn't appeal to your sensibilities.
