Savvy and Accutune no longer tune Fox 2.0 IFP Shocks

I'm looking to buy either the Rancho 5000x or Fox 2.0 IFP for my 2005 Jeep TJ with a 4" lift. I contacted Savvy and Accutune and they both informed me that they no longer custom-tune their Fox 2.0 IFP shocks because Fox changed the valving to match how they used to tune them. My goal for my Jeep is a nice soft ride on the pavement.

Confirmed with Savvy that they no longer tune their IFP shocks. The description on their site is a little misleading...

Accutune says "Not all IFP shocks are available with AccuTune Valving, call to learn more." I called and confirmed they no longer tune the Fox 2.0 shocks

Has anyone tried the supposedly new off-the-shelf Fox 2.0 shocks? Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!

This is very interesting to hear and makes me much more likely to buy the Fox's now! There was a big debate about this in some thread on here... I can't remember which one off the top of my head.

There's no point in them tuning shocks if they are buying the shocks the way they'd have tuned the shocks.

@JMT why don't you fill ever one in on your experience with the fox 2.0 shocks from savvy.

I'm wondering when Fox made this revision? And is the TJ-specific valving available in all sizes, or just the 4"-6" range?

There's no point in them tuning shocks if they are buying the shocks the way they'd have tuned the shocks.

My main question is if anyone has tried the off-the-shelf Fox 2.0 which is supposedly the same as when Savvy and Accutune used to have them custom tuned (whether from their own company or Fox)? Or should I just play it safe and get the Ranchos

Any tuned shocks available that will work in stock location with the 3” springs.
What about the Fox remote Resi shocks, do they come with the accutune.

Does this apply to just the fox 2.0 IFP or all 2.0 as the thread title states?

Great question. It applies only to the Fox 2.0 IFP as far as I'm aware.

You may very well be right. However, when I called Savvy they said they used to tune them but stopped recently. So I dunno.

You sure they said they actually tuned them? From what I’ve read it was more like they ordered them to their specifications which were somewhat different than standard Foxes.

Yes, sorry for the confusion. They used to order them custom tuned from Fox. They no longer order them custom-tuned because Fox supposedly changed the valving in general for all of the Fox 2.0 IFP shocks.

That’s my experience with those shocks, I got mine from extreme terrain so no “custom” tune, overly stiff basically no compliance, this was with 5.5-6” up available all around but you wouldn’t know it based on the ride.

Extreme Terrain doesn’t sell Savvy stuff, so did you buy Fox 2.0’s through them?
