It has been raining heavy in Perth area for over 31 days, I know its winter here but its pretty unusual as it rained much of June as well, whats more unusual is the weather reports on TV have not mentioned it as out of the norm?
South UK just had severe summer rain storms, Germany and other parts of Europe have had bad summer flooding.
Just seems a lot of rain this year?
Whats it like in parts of US? normal?

We have a rain storm coming tomorrow very odd for our area, at the end of July and first of August.

Lots of rain but no end to the fires.

Our county has gotten nearly 50 inches of rain since the beginning of 2021. The yearly average is 48 inches.

We're going through our second drought of the year in the Midwest. My lawn is crispy.
Our lawns are always crispy in summer , Everyone here is switching to artificial turf but they lay it on compacted gravel dust so the rain in winter doesn't soak through and drain! Cleans the dog pee of though lol

We missed yesterday's rain by 15-20 miles. (25-33 kms)

But it rained last night an inch or so. 25-30 mm. We might get more today.

We are good on moisture here so far this year, but the storm front brought smoke from the fires in the northwest and Canada.

Got 1/4” of rain yesterday evening after ten or so days of 90°+ sunny temps. Yard was starting to get crispy but that’s over now. HUMID as the dickens, can’t see out of the windows in the morning with so much dew on the windows. Pretty much normal for here. Just did some yard repair and planted grass seed. Guess that’ll kick butt now.

We have had good rain, snow this year that put an end to the drought, (at least east of the divide :( ).
Today we have a flash flood watch in effect due to monsoon moisture coming up from Mexico and Chris's neck of the desert .

G'day, mate!
Been cooler and wetter than usual here in San Antonio, TX this year. Have not even reach 100 degrees F, although the heat index has been up to 112. I don't like it 'cause I have to mow more often.
Cheers,
Steve

Dry as a popcorn fart here in SW Montana. Had the field cut and baled a few weeks ago. Lawn is dead and not worth wasting water over. I hate lawns. Dry lightning forecast today in the nearby mtn. range with temps up to 97*.
