Anyone here know a thing or two about golf carts?

I live in a small community. My church, my sister and her family, my parents, the hardware and grocery stores are all two minutes away and I don’t like driving my car such short distances unless it’s warmed up. Many in our little community have golf carts for this reason.

My neighbor is moving this Monday and has a 2016 Club Car for sale. Brand new interstate batteries two months ago, has a frame with doors and windows to weather proof the cab, and it’s titled and street legal. It’s definitely seen some use but it’s still in nice shape. He’s asking $3500. This seem like a good deal? Golf cart prices are all over the place here so it’s hard to compare. TIA

Sold my 2006 gas powered, lifted for $3500 last fall, so all things considered I would say $3500 for the one you mentioned seems fair.

Probably a fair price. Club car makes the best electric car you can buy. The batteries are key. Since they are new, you should be in good shape. Keep em charged and watered properly, and they will last you a good long while.

Sounds reasonable. The kid down the street from us has bought a couple real beaters to fix up and resell. Comparing your description with what I've seen him sell those for, I'd say you're getting a fair, if not good, deal.

Spend a full year in AZ and be sure to ask yourself that question again

In all reality I have, but I’m a busy guy and usually do quick stops picking up or dropping off things between the different places. For my uses, a golf cart would be best.

Just as an FYI (and a little cuz I like to show it off) my dad and I rebuilt a mid 90's E-Z-Go a few years ago for his cottage. Same deal...the little town he was in was small and everything was within a couple miles. Everyone used golf cars...so we started with this.

We went a little crazy. It got an upgraded motor and controller, 48V battery pack instead of 36V, 6" lift, etc. He sold the cottage this year and has been thinking of selling the golf car...He's already had offers for 6000 from guy at work but he's looking for more like 7000...which still isn't what he has into it but he got lots of enjoyment out of it too.

I think that's a good price. It's relatively newish and sounds like it's still in good shape. I've definitely seen some listed for considerably more than that.

Guy called today. Turns out it’s a 2011, not a 2016. I kind of suspected because it looks pretty worn out for being a 2016 but a 2011 makes more sense. Gonna see what I can get him to do.
