Will this Chinese Dana 44 locker fit my Dana 35?

I’m thinking about buying these Chinese lockers
http://www.hf4x4.cn/En/Model.Asp?ParentID=127&SortID=163
They make both the air version and the electric version.
I have Dana 30 front and Dana 35 rear and I’m planning to upgrade axle shafts, front 27 splines and rear 30 splines.
They don’t list a locker specific for Dana 35 with 30 splines, but only for Dana 44 with 30 splines shaft diameter 1.31”. Do you think it will fit the Dana 35?

Below the chart from the Chinese site

It’s for the gear diameter being bigger in the Dana 44, I guess? Because the shaft diameter of the Super 35 should be 1.31” as well, if I’m not mistaken

Although the 30 spline Dana 35 axle shafts are the same diameter as a Dana 44's shaft, the Dana 44 has a larger diameter ring gear (which requires a larger diameter locker).

I'm not smart enough to know if the c-clip design of the 30-spline Dana 35 axle requires anything different in the locker than the Dana 44's non-c-clip axles, but that could also be a difference. Not that it matters, since the Dana 44 locker won't physically fit.

So I guess I should stay with 27 splines for the Dana 35. I’m thinking that since I would have to replace the carrier and the spider gears anyway, for the same money I could have a locker, even though the final assembly would not be as strong as 30 splines

Why? Do they come with a free booster shot, masks and hand sanitizer? There are much better options out there.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Like what? I’m open to suggestion!
please consider that I’m doing basically only dirt roads on 33s and I would avoid spending 1k for ARB or Eaton

Those Chinese lockers are fine, you need to match your differential and gear ratio to get the correct carrier. ARB tested the lockers and they did about the same as the Yukon which makes them a pretty good deal.

@pagrey Do you have any info about the electric version as well? I’ve seen the video you mentioned and I’ve found some threads on other forums and apparently the air version is around since ten years and seems pretty decent. I was wondering if the electric version is the same quality

I'm not going to replace your diff if it fails. It's probably similar or better. The Chinese don't sleep, their stuff gets better and better. You are posting on a predominately American forum and there is a lot of anti-Chinese sentiment. You are going a bit of bias away from their products.

Yes there is a lot of bias around Chinese products, I think also here in Europe. I’ll go with the electric, so I will not have to install the compressor

Yes but I have to regear to 4.88 and for the same money needed for a carrier and spider gear, you can have a locker (even if it’s basically useless)
Why not get a Detroit TrueTrac for a carrier? Under $500, and sounds like it would work well for your use.

Or you could save $100 and get the Powertrax equivalent.
