New 30" tires are rubbing

I have the 29,s on stock ecco,s they are 9.3 Inch wide so your rubbing must be pretty minimal with your tire at 9.5 wide?
My tire fitter said 235 is the widest he would fit on my TJ which is one size above factory recommended max of 225 with my wheels, cant remember what the ecco,s are but I think they are 7 inch, wish I knew about the washer fix before the new tires or I would have gone 31,s, 30" x 15 are not very common in Australia and maybe the reason the 65ths came with ecco,s which is different to the US spec?

So OP probably has the 30x10R 15, I would like the 30x 11.5 if I change wheels, not sure if they are available in oz though.
No, he posted stating his tires are 30x 9.50R 15

Edit:
If you want to go with a wider tire the question becomes, Can you legally stick out past your fender flares? If not can you get wider flares and go with a different offset wheel so the back spacing remains the same as factory and you don't end up with a rub?

I have the factory painted 4 1/4 flares and don't want to change them so maybe 10" will be my limit?

I would say probably, unless you want to sacrifice more turning radius, because even if you don't add washers to stop rubbing the control arms the tire rubbing limits the radius too.

30x9.5-15 appear to be fairly common in Aus; I know you frequently say they aren't, so perhaps something is just lost in translation?

I dont thinks its lost in translation just they dont show up for me with a search, I wouldn't go 30x9.5 anyway my 29" wildpeaks come up around 9.5 so if I went 30" I would want at least 10" wide else they look too skinny.

I have had a few US members send me links to au sites that for some reason do not show up for me? I think last one was The boogieman sent a link to a jeep shop less than 15 miles from me that did not show up on searches for jeep soft tops in Perth. Unless I have an http or a link my searches will always default to limited sellers but always include ebay and amazon even though they dont have what I am looking for!

I checked Tyrepower when I bought the ones I have now and availability was very limited due to Covid and they were more expensive, the main chain where I get my tires would not fit above 29,s and warranty them plus there was a long wait on many brands.

I didnt ask about 30" because at the time I was pondering 31,s so was just presuming 30" wasn't a common size because they didnt show up for me.

That is strange. On the 2 sites I linked, I get 22 and 18 results for that size, respectively.
