LONGJP2 replied to the thread Lift control arms.You might not have realized the 4.25" zone lift recommended is actually a 3" SL lift with 1.25 BL. A common starting point for 33s.

No,you are over thinking it. Stuff the one end back in the bushing,jack up the exhaust and weld the rod back on. The engineers had it right.
