The Official Jeep Wrangler TJ "Vibrations After Re-Gear" Thread

Yeah, you can add me to the list too. I re-geared to 4:88s, and that's when I felt it. It's worse with a hard top. I read through this as well, I did everything the previous people on this thread like chasing pinion angles, balance wheels, and wheel bearings. I couldn't drive it over 65 without...

    Headlights wont turn on

Thanks for the advice gents, I take a look at the grounds. It is at the age now for that kind of stuff. I'm going to pop open the old MFS and check for abnormal wear or burns. I guess it's time I got a multimeter as well.

    Headlights wont turn on

Yes, I checked the one at the glovebox. Nothing is blown. When I hook the LED headlights up, I lose park lights. When I hook the halogens up I get the park lights back. But still no headlights. At this point I wish I had a blown fuse. The wires seem good. The plug for the MFS was cracked a...

    Headlights wont turn on

Another headlight issue. i was switching out my headlights with Oracle (Non-Halo) on my 2006 Rubicon. I heard a click from the PDC and the headlights never flickered or came on. So i checked all the fuses inside and at the PDC. Nothing blown. I checked the the relays, the fog lamp relay will...

    Another Sloppy Steering Thread

I saw a pic on one of jerry's or Blaine's posts. You take the wheels off and put the jeep on jack stands. With the brake rotors still attached with lugnuts, you put 2 pieces of aluminum square tubing clamped to the rotors. One tube on each side. With the wheel straight, you measure the width and...

Yes, just unbolt it and put the new arm in. Use the existing hardware. Spray some PB blaster to help loosen it up and you will need a pitman arm puller to old arm pull out.

Yeah I have savvy uppers front and rear. Pricey but well worth not having to take them off to adjust angles. Didn't see your pictures. Jerry has some good advice, I followed his posts and pics and that's how I dialed in my pinion angles. Get rid of the drop pitman arm. Your draglink should be...

Bluegrass parkway? I just did this with my jeep. Spent about an hour so on this forum and pieced it together. my steering felt "flighty" when was at highway speeds and over bumps on the overpasses. I checked my castor on the front axle. It was 4 degrees, I moved it to 6 degrees and it helped...

American Racing Headers Long Tube Headers for the Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0

Thanks for the insight. I remember reading about that. That's why I was hesitant, I did call ARH and I didn't get his name. He answered some of my questions. I did pull the trigger on it, we will see what happens when I get it on. If anything, the driveshaft will beat into shape. How close is...

American Racing Headers Long Tube Headers for the Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a set of these with the Cats. I am also coupling these with a canned tune from FRP (have the tuner, just need to do the software side). I have read all the threads I can about these. My jeep is completely stock and has the original exhaust from factory, Just...
