I flip an old pad around and use a C-clamp. I’ve never been able to make it happen fast and have to give the fluid time to flow back to the reservoir. Take the cap off before you start and watch your level. My clamps were bought in the early 80s and still work fine.

Check to see if there is local radiator shop close to you. These can be rebuilt.

I dunno….we run hotter than that down here in Ks with no issues and the guys in Az are much hotter than most.

On the bottom of the water pump, there should be a small hole. You might need a mirror to see it. Check to see if you see any signs of fluid. Also pull the belt off of the water pump and check for internal play on the pump bearing. I had a vey similar issue and it was a bad water pump.
