    06 TJ Build

I would not recommend removing the hinge at all. The torx heads are known to strip out and could cause some trouble for you. Here's what I did when mine were stuck: Get a piece of wood, towel, and a jack. You wrap the wood (used a 4x4) in the towel to not scratch the paint, put the wood on the...

    Onboard Air Options

Originally I was going to do that, but I live in Ohio and the winter salt destroys metal. I didn't want to worry about rust on the tank since everything else is already coated underneath. If I lived somewhere where it wasn't an issue i would have. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

    Onboard Air Options

It connects at the tank. I didn't want to worry about the plumbing getting damaged outside the jeep. My hoses can reach all the way around from either side, so it works out well. Also, if you do it right you can still fit the rear seat in the jeep. That's why I made sure it went under the seat...

    06 TJ Build

Well the build is going to take a break until winter break since I won't have time or the space for a while since I'll be at college. I have been wheeling though off and on in between finishing some projects. I did add some new reverse lights with my new rear bumper since my old ones no longer fit.

    Onboard Air Options

I bent some metal with a friend for my airtank. Worked out really well and it is very stout. I used the seat brackets to clamp the "feet" down and drilled the top ledge into the wheel well. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

Thanks! It fit perfectly there and was close to being perfectly level. I had to get rid of my PA horn, but hey that thing was only for messing with people- this is practical. I'm running the air filter for it into the cowl to keep it dry and clean and then the supply line to the tank will run...

    06 TJ Build

Well since my spare doesn't fit with the new bumper I added a vent cover. Hopefully soon I'll fab something up so I can mount my last small light bar there since my reverse lights no longer fit my new bumper. Also, I finally got around to organizing my accessory fuse block and changing out the...

    Getting Started with Welding

Thanks for all of the great info! I have just started reading up on everything, but as with any skill it is hands on learning. I'll keep all of those tips in mind and start looking on Craigslist and such. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

    Getting Started with Welding

I have been wanting to learn how to actually weld for a while now instead of just tacking things together while a friend perfects it and such. I've seen that it is a paramount skill when working on the jeep most of the time. What would you all recommend for getting started?

    06 TJ Build

I've been told it will keep my frame from bending in undesirable ways when recovering or towing. I could do so now, but I'd rather not have the adverse effects on the frame in the long run. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

New bumper is bolted on, but not frame tied yet so I can't tow or recover yet. Compressor is also mounted Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

    Kentucky Kentucky trails?

I don't but a friend mapped the trails with his GPS last time, but our group always goes with a guide who is a member of our group. I have the file I think. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

    Kentucky Kentucky trails?

I need to know some places as well. I'll be living in Lexington starting in the Fall. The group I'm in now regularly goes to Slade and it's a great place, but no matter where you go in KY you'll get scratched up. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

I made a debris guard today with some spare metal. When I took out the rear fender liners there were exposed wires and such that I wanted to be protected.

Thanks! We'll see how it holds up. The base of the mount is clamped under the rear seat mounts and the top is bolted to the wheel well. It's pretty sturdy. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
