    Radiator airflow

Figure out why it’s overheating. It might be because your fan clutch is failing and isn’t pulling enough air. There are some neat electric fan conversions out there but if your cooling system itself is the cause, an electric fan won’t fix it. And if your current fan isn’t pulling enough air, the...

Shop Pro Universal Coolant Used - Okay or not?

More important than the brand is using the same type. Do NOT mix types. If you also stick to a certain brand of the same type, you 100% know it’s compatible. As to type….for these old Jeeps it’s not too precise. Lots of people report good results using HOAT type, Zerex GO5 brand. So I use it...

Yep. Internet legend. Use whatever you like unless your repairs are under warranty and then use whatever they tell you to use.

    Stumped With Cooling System Problem

What are the ACUTAL engine temps? How have you determined the engine is overheating at idle? Not saying you are wrong but you are throwing parts at it and I haven’t yet heard how you have decided it’s overheating.

Cooling issues at long periods of idle

Cooling issues at long periods of idle

I’m suspicious of your water pump impeller. I’d pull it and inspect it.

    New(ish) radiator leak

I’ve taken it to the desert (Phoenix) and hot humid areas with no issue. It’s always possible Denso had a bad run of radiators (every company including Mopar has defective parts occasionally) that don’t work as well. Mine has been flawless. If it’s not working like you would like, try a...

    A/C Accumulator Box Arrived Rough

It should be sealed. The dents don’t bother me. What DOES bother me is the possibility someone installed it and then removed it. If they opened the ports for any substantial length of time, moisture got in and absorbed into the desiccant. The desiccant can’t take too much moisture before it’s...

Rear main seal won't seal on 1999 TJ 4.0 due to scars on crankshaft

Personally I doubt that high mileage oils are an issue but I don’t have solid evidence to try to change your mind!!

Rear main seal won't seal on 1999 TJ 4.0 due to scars on crankshaft

Reminds me of flying in military helicopters. Leaking oil wasn’t a problem and common to see. If it’s NOT leaking oil, be afraid.
