The two remotes on the console are for the Sony am/fm/cd and the interior led mood lighting. Switch on the console is for the windshield mounted lights and the under-dash switch is for the interior lights (quick disable for the door switches). Greg

My 97 TJ Sport

I've had an 8.8 sitting in my garage waiting on me to build it for over a year now. If I wheeled more than I do now, I would be on it. Just can't justify it...yet!

Had a weird one on my 97 when I first got it. Had some battery powered LED knob that would illuminate the shift pattern. The battery died so I put a new stock Jeep one on in it's place.

Both axle bearings and seals, check rear driveshaft for u joint replacement.

I think that as long as the replacement is from a 4.0l, you should be ok.

Sounds to me like your torque converter is on the way out. Typical symptoms include vibrations and locked up when it;s not supposed to. Recommend trans shop for diagnosis. Trouble is when they go, they can send all kinds of metal through the system so you may be looking at a unit assembly.
