Anyone have any experience with Auburn ECTED lockers?

OK, I'll leave this debate for those who want to theorize, rather than those who actually use them.

Always locks fine for me under the conditions that I run it under. Steep slickrock trails and such.

Update. Still running mine front and rear, Dana 30/Dana 44, installed around 2006. I don't rock crawl, but I do run plenty of rough rocky terrain.

What minor thing pisses you off more than it actually should?

Lol, my mailbox has been crushed again and again. I started with 4"x4" wood. Nah, that ain't doing it out here. I finally fabbed a mount on a big chunk of steel gas pipe I picked up along the side of the road along the way down to the White Wash dunes over there in Utah, when I was dirt biking...

What minor thing pisses you off more than it actually should?

Those goddamn idiots yesterday who came into a busy gas station with two-pump lanes, made sure they got in front of me and stopped at the first pump. "Private lane here, move along" Two dimwitted young women in a nice compact SUV, oblivious to the world.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Hooked up the nit-picky transfer case stuff - vent, electrical, shift-linkage. That shift linkage is an abomination - could they have built any more moving pieces into that sucker?

A good quality MIG setup makes things almost foolproof, with just a little bit of knowledge and practice. My...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Bolted up my transfer case to the transmission, after a previously unsuccessful attempt using a leaky old ATV lift. Northern Tool 1K transmission jack did the job. No sweat, it went in like butter.

Where and how to learn to weld and work with metal?

I learned at my local Vo-Tech before they became a foo-foo community college. They let me go as far as I wanted to, as long as I could pay tuition, show up, and do my classwork. Best dang thing I did in a long time, even if I am kind of a hack at it. They still have a welding program, but I...

    Steering groan

Heh...I tolerated that noise for way too long. I finally got out a can of WD-40 and went on the hunt. Got it where the steering shaft goes through the grommet. Next time I'm poking around under there I'll hit it with some of that white lithium spray grease.
